IT’S TIME FOR THE PA FARM SHOW
It’s that time of year again—time for milkshakes, potato donuts, fried veggies, and tractors… and the Ready PA Booth at the PA Farm Show!
The 2025 Farm Show runs Saturday, January 4 – Saturday, January 11, and we’re excited to make this year’s booth another big success. This event is our largest outreach opportunity, helping thousands of Pennsylvanians get ready for emergencies. It’s also one of the best training opportunities for PEMA employees to learn about different parts of the agency and meet with some of those we serve.
We’re looking for enthusiastic team members to join us! No expertise is required—just an interest in engaging with people and sharing preparedness tips. We’ll provide everything you need, including materials, cheat sheets, and “pre-scripted” questions for the ever-popular Wheel of Misfortune.
What You Need to Do:
- Tell us you’re in by COB December 6: Click this link to select your preferred shift(s).
- Sign up early: The first 15 people to sign up will be entered into a drawing to win 1 of 6 free milkshakes (or a donut or fried treat of your choice).
Key Details:
- Shift Length: Each shift is 4 hours. You can sign up for as many as you’d like.
- Teamwork: Shifts will have 2–3 people, and some will also include reps from the PA Insurance Department or PA VOAD.
- Fear Not: Folks who have less experience will be scheduled with those who have more experience.
- Pre-Event Briefing: We’ll host a logistics and booth overview on January 3 & January 6.
The Ready PA Booth is always a hit, thanks to your energy and dedication. Let’s work together to help Pennsylvanians prepare for anything that comes their way!
Thanks in advance, and we hope to see you at the Farm Show!
